Get into the car and you are first confronted by a masterpiece of a panel. Body colour, like FIATs used to be, but plastic rather than metal. Read on the following article to learn more information about the vehicle on the market in Liverpool.
Good: Stunning looks. And they've fixed the handling. Huge fun for the summer.
Bad: £3,000 premium over hatchback (but it's worth it). Many UK orders not being met until September or later when summer is over.

First, FIAT started building them for Ford, with a slightly different shaped body and suspension sorted out by Ford’s chassis engineers who, by using softer rear springs and adding an anti-roll bar to the rear twist-beam, made it both ride and handle better.
Good: Affordable open-top fun for cruisers. Cute retro looks.
Bad: Left-hand drive only. People trying to palm off over-priced personal imports as official UK cars.

Good: Roomy cabin, big boot, stunning design and five-star crash test rating. Excellent 1.4 turbo petrol and 1.6 diesel. Low prices.
Bad: Initially a triumph of style over substance but the 1.4 T-Jet 150 is a stunning engine and the 2008 1.6 Multijet diesel shifts it up a star.

It’s a bit taller than the norm, so you sit slightly more upright. It’s easier to get in and out of. You can almost ‘walk into it’ like you can with a Ford C-Max. And it’s very comfortable, for up to five 6’ adults with all their luggage.
Good: Deliberately crude, ugly and utilitarian looking. Bigger than Berlingo. Available with 7 seats. Best with 1.3 Multijet diesel. Handles decently.
Bad: Deliberate utilitarian looks. Problems with turbos of 1.9 diesels.

Peculiar looking contraption, the Doblo. Deliberately styled to look utilitarian, almost like a pastiche of a 1930’s hotel bus. The kind of car you could bump in a carpark with an even chance of it ending up looking better.

The one and only criticism is that, to achieve the car’s excellent torsional rigidity, the hatchback sill is quite high. No good for dogs to jump over, for example. And impossible to load something like a mobility scooter. Read on for more information about the hatchback in Liverpool.

FIAT's Idea is a very interesting little car in Liverpool. It's cutely good looking. It isn't gimmicky. It's all about packing as much versatility as possible onto the same size footprint as the Punto.
Good: Dead cheap these days. Handles well. Estate version makes more sense than saloon.
Bad: Awful build quality. Very poor result in JD Power Customer Satisfaction Survey.

It’s cheap. It’s cheerful. And it’s European Car of the Year 2004. The first thing that strikes you is its cuteness. It’s smaller and sweeter than it looks in pictures. You instantly want to like it.
It looks terrific. Like a souped-up small FIAT should. A basic, upright tiny utility car with fat alloys, chunky tyres and a special grille. It's good inside, too, with supportive seats, nice steering wheel and the same brilliant centre switchgear arrangement of all Pandas.
Good: Astonishingly capable off road. Stuffed with character and verve. Practical. Superb control panel.
Bad: No diesel version in UK until August 2008. A front-drive Panda rides better.

It’s hard not to love the FIAT Panda. Chic, cheerful, small and cute. European Car of the Year 2004, it’s comfortable, fun to drive, has the best-designed control panel of any car anywhere and comes in some great solid colours, including Guacamole green, Vanilla yellow and a kind of creamy turquoise.
Good: Low prices and equally low running costs. Easy to get in and out of. In its day, the best small hatch there was.
Bad: Feels outdated now. Unsettled ride and mediocre handling. Patchy reliability record.

Good: Better than the original Punto in almost every way. Excellent driving environment, easy to get in and out of, practical and inexpensive to run.
Bad: Thick rear pillars on 3-door obscure your vision. Reliability should be better.

If anything, the ride and handling have improved. It may be a bit softer than the first of the phase II Puntos, but it needed to be. It grips, handles and steers well enough, providing you don’t inadvertently press the ‘City’ mode steering button and really frighten yourself because that’s strictly for parking.
An added bonus, available with the 1.25 Multijet diesel only, is FIAT’s Dualogic 6-speed automated manual gearbox that is obviously going to go down very well with Motability customers in Liverpool. Read on to learn more information about the car in the following article.
Good: Useful small family MPV with sliding side doors, 2,500 litre capacity and option of 6-speed Dualogic automated manual with 1.25 diesel engine
