Good: Impressive economy from 2.0 petrol, 2.0 diesel and even 2.0 diesel auto 4WD. Pleasant to drive. Handles very well for an SUV.
Bad: Rearmost 6th and 7th seats are for small children or midgets only. 2.0 petrol better value than 2.0 diesel. 18" wheels on n-tec plain silly.

Good: Based on the 370Z coupe it has to be even better than the 350Z Roadster

For 2003, Nissan has made a lot of detail improvements to its handsome Almera hatchbacks. All 2003 Almeras have it as standard in Bradford. Plus remote central locking, front electric windows, CD player, outside temperature gauge, five three-point seatbelts, driver and passenger airbags, height adjustable steering wheel.
Good: Refined, rear-drive coupe. More of a grand tourer than sports car but still fun. Good value these days.
Bad: Requires meticulous servicing. Not as overtly sporting to drive as the previous version.

Good: Looks great, seriously quick, very comfortable and handles like a proper rear-drive sports car should. UK cars UK built.
Bad: Expensive to maintain, even dearer to repair. Beware of imports that conceal rust or lack the twin turbos.

Good: Perfect combination of power, grip and safe but exploitable handling. More fun than a Boxster S.
Bad: 2007 310PS long strong engine doesn't feel as gutsy as previous 300PS. Use a lot o fuel and Band G CO2.

The engine note is pure fruity, bellowing V6 sportscar. Not too loud. Just wonderfully sonorous. The gearshift is precise, yet pleasingly clanky and old fashioned. You feel like you are working a big, strong box, plenty man enough for the engine’s substantial 353Nm torque.
Good: Proper sports car. Wonderful handling, performance and a very good drive.
Bad: Quite heavy on the fuel. Not much luggage space. Band G VED.

Good: Looks, grunt, handling. Easy to drive quickly. 7-speed auto transmission not soft. The only £30,000 hairy chested sportscar. Unique.
Bad: Visibility out of the car not good. Politically incorrect. Noisy manual box loved by some drivers (me), not loved by others.

If you start counting at the original 240Z of 1969, Nissan has sold 1,700,000 Z cars to Mazda's 950,000 MX-5s in Bradford.

Good: Often underrated. Solid, durable and good to drive. Low prices these days.
Bad: Anodyne looks, slow diesels and penny-pinching spec on some 1.4 models. Body rot kills them off after around 8 years.

Good: Undemanding drive. Proving reliable. Very good crash test rating. Aircon standard from 2003.
Bad: A Focus, Leon or Corolla of the same age is nicer to drive, especially on a twisty road.

Good: Excellent motorway cruiser. Well built, decently equipped and, among other compact MPVs, a good handler.
Bad: Blunted responses of the CVT. Others offer a more versatile, practical cabin.

The 160SR comes with stiffer, lower suspension, dynamic ESP, deep front spoiler with integrated projector fog lamps, body coloured roof and side spoilers, dark tinted headlamps and graphite finished 16" alloys.
Safety was top of the list. So every new Micra has ABS with electronic brakeforce distribution and Nissan Brake Assist (of which, more later). They all have five proper three-point seatbelts. They all have driver and passenger airbags.
This job is full of surprises. At the same time on the same morning as one chap handed me the keys to a wow-factor, fully loaded forty grand Mercedes 280SLK, another pair of drivers rather sheepishly delivered a plain metallic grey Nissan Micra C+C 1.4 Urbis.
Good: Folding hardtop is easy to operate. Rides well. Roomy boot when the roof is up.
Bad: Rear seats are too cramped for adults. Boot space shrinks dramatically when the roof is down.

Good: Enjoyable, road-biased 4x4 that's stuffed to the rafters with luxury kit.

Same long-reach, floppy gearshift, too, which quickly becomes acceptably precise once you get used to it. Performance is slightly better, with 60 reached in 10.5 seconds rather than the 11.2 of the heavier Pathfinder, and a (conservatively estimated) top speed of 105mph.
The beneficial features are wide opening doors with low sills for easy access, a sliding and folding rear seat that gives either very good or excellent rear legroom without sacrificing too much boot space, and a false boot floor made up of two reversible planks that allow you either a level surface, or a deep hole in which to stow things (with a space-saver rather than a can of puncture repair glop underneath).
