Nice colour range, too. It looks particularly good in dark metallic blue with alloys. And the solid Capsicum red that mine came in is a really rich red (always the best colour to photograph).

Clio 2009's styling, comfort, versatility, safety credentials and equipment, which form a package worthy of that of models from the next segment up, are sure to appeal to a large, loyal customer-base worldwide. At the same time, its extremely rigorous build quality makes it one of the most reliable cars in its class in Brighton.
Good: Very well liked by enthusiasts. Sparkles in a manner the standard Clio simply doesn't. Terrific decision to offer it in white.

The best thing about the Renault Espace is the view. You sit behind a panoramic windscreen, broken only by two slim screen pillars. (The strength is in the pillars behind them.) And you look out over the most stylish instrument display of any car you can buy.
Good: Modus stretched 6" longer, so more spacious and handles better. 1.5DCI 86 the berst engine and 119g/km so cheap tax.
Bad: Expensive at list prices. Rear seat is heavy to fold.

I liked the original Modus a lot more than I had expected to. Cute, likeable, practical and a good drive summed it up. Now Renault has stretched it six and a half inches, which doesn’t read like much, but makes a much bigger difference.

The new Renault Laguna hatchback left some reviewers underwhelmed. Yet the Laguna Coupe has completely the opposite effect. The shark’s mouth front that doesn’t quite work with the hatchback looks made for the coupe.
Good: Beautiful looks; classy, high quality feel; good range of engines; 4 Control 4 wheel steer works well. Serious rival to A5 and 3 Series coupes.
Bad: Not much. Centre console disappears under the dash for no good reason.

The new Laguna is two cars in one. Instead of offering a choice between a saloon, a hatchback and an estate car, Renault gives us a choice between two very good looking hatchbacks. One is a sort of combination hatchback/saloon.
Good: Stylish looks, luxuriously well equipped and a comfortable ride. A fine motorway cruiser. Excellent crash test rating.
